Wine Review: This ruby colored Zinfandel from the Vogensen Vineyard opens with a mild red cherry and red raspberry bouquet with hints of cinnamon, pomegranate, and bayberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and bright. The flavor profile is red plum and oak blend with notes of crushed stone and oolong tea. We also detected hints of black pepper and red raspberry. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins linger and are nicely sustained. The Tasting Panel would pair this Zin with a lamb burger, a bison burger or with a pork tenderloin. Enjoy – KWGTP
