Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Zinfandel from the Bedrock Vineyard opens with a black raspberry, mint, and black cherry bouquet with hints of cedar and dried herbs. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and silky. The flavor profile is black cherry and black tea blend with notes of mild black raspberry, stony minerality and oak. We also detected some hints of cocoa, cola, and black pepper. The finish is dry and its moderate dusty tannins and flavors drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Zin with Lucia’s braised short ribs or with Italian braciole. Enjoy - KWGTP
