Wine Review: This was one of the best wines from a tough 2008 vintage in Chateauneauf de Pape. It is very dark ruby colored and opens with an attractive ripe cassis bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, and spicy. The flavor profile is a very tasty black cherry and blueberry blend with a hint of black raspberry and black pepper in the background. The finish is quite dry and its tingly tannins are very lengthy. Pair this gem with a NY strip steak. Enjoy - Ken
