Wine Review: This dark red colored Tempranillo from Olivia Brion opens with fig and black cherry bouquet with hints of pipe tobacco, loam, and pencil shavings. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with moderate acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced and rounded. The flavor profile is fig and graphite blend with notes of cherry-cola and saline. We also picked up some hints of cedar and blueberry. The finish is dry and its well-managed tannins drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Tempranillo with beef enchiladas with mole, pulled pork mac n' cheese, or a roast leg of lamb. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: A red varietal with rich characteristics similar to Cabernet Sauvignon, but with its own distinctive black fruit flavors of blackberry and blueberry, finishing long with an intriguing graphite note. Pairs excellent with rich, belly filling cuisine.
