Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Oberon opens with a black currant bouquet with hints of blueberry and oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a ripe blueberry with notes of black currant and black cherry. I also detected a hint of oak. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors and mild tannins fade away nicely. This Cab is a food friendly bistro wine. Enjoy with a juicy Angus burger and sweet potato fries. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Oberon Cabernet Sauvignon has a lovely, seamless texture. Malolactic fermentation in barrel, combined with 12 months oak aging (45% new French oak), further concentrated the wine’s vibrant red cherry, candied blackberry, and spice flavors, adding a hint of coffee and a lingering dark chocolate note on the finish.
