Wine Review: This medium ruby colored Pinot Noir from Nysa opens with a cinnamon tea and cedar bouquet with hints of forest floor, cherry, clove, and bee’s wax. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and savory. The flavor profile is cedar, clove, and black raspberry blend with notes of loam, red licorice, and cinnamon stick. We also detected some hints of black pepper, black tea, and nutmeg. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and moderate tannins are quite sustained. The Tasting Panel would pair this "Old School" Pinot with a pork tenderloin, grilled portobello mushrooms, or with a cassoulet. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The wine begins with rich aromas of black fruits, smoke, and Bing cherry. In the mouth those fruits are supported by a broad streak of roasted espresso beans, along with well-balanced notes of earth, herb, and leaf. A hint of baking spice sneaks through the finish.
