Wine Review: This dark ruby colored red blend is a fruit bomb. It opens with a mild red currant, blueberry, and gentle vanilla oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, juicy and ripe. The flavor profile is an extracted boysenberry with hints of cola, plum and oak. I also detected a hint of blueberry. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors last for quite a while. I would pair this exuberant wine with a barbecue bacon burger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2011 Novy Four-Mile-Creek Red Table Wine is a rich, deeply colored red wine. The nose shows plenty of dark, plush fruit, along with a distinct spicy note, and a touch of floral aromatics. On the palate, the wine is a mouth filling mix of plums and blackberries, as well as hints of dried herbs. There’s also a peppery element to the wine, coming from both the Zinfandel and the Christensen Syrah. The finish is long with good levels of acidity and smooth tannins.
