Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Syrah opens with a shy blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a gentle spicy blueberry with notes of blackberry and black pepper. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are manageable and stick around for quite a while. This wine would pair well with a NY strip steak. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2007 Novy Napa Valley Syrah is perhaps the finest Appellation Syrah we have produced from the Napa Valley. This wine has always come from the Page-Nord Vineyard, but over the years we have incorporated different clones and sections in the wine, including young vine fruit and Syrah clone 525. This diversity of fruit selection has enabled us to produce a more complete and complex wine by blending different sections, rootstocks, and clones together, culminating in this 2007 wine.
