Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Malbec from Norton opens with a blackberry pie and old leather jacket bouquet with hints of iron filings and black plum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, fresh, and bright for a Malbec. The flavor profile is a black plum and green tea blend with notes of cedar, stone dust, and mild blackberry. I also detected hints of green olive, cured meat, and a touch of black pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and mild tannins linger nicely. I would pair this very good value Malbec with your favorite carnitas burrito. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Aromatic and expressive with ripe black fruits, violets, cinnamon, and clove. On the palate it is full bodied, silky in texture, with flavors of black cherry, plum, blueberry, and fig. Fine tannins are well-integrated, into a long finish.
