Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Malbec based blend opens with a dark chocolate and blueberry bouquet with hints of stewed black plum and black coffee. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, bright, and fresh. The flavor profile is stony minerality and black plum blend with notes of blackberry tea and black currant. I also detected hints of black pepper, oak, and spice. The finish is dry, and its moderate tannins, acidity and flavors have nice length. This wine definitely benefits from some aeration, as its tannins, flavors and acidity all come together nicely with some air. So, I would decant this wine for a while before pairing it with steak fajitas or beef bourguignon. Enjoy - Ken
