Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Northstar opens with a black cherry and black currant bouquet with hints of oak and cedar. On the palate this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and smooth. The flavor profile is a dried black cherry and oak blend with notes of tobacco and black currant. I also detected hints of dark chocolate. The finish is dry, and its flavors and moderate dusty tannins are nicely sustained. This Cab is food friendly and was liked by all that tried it. It also paired very well with my Lebanese baked kibbeh. It would also pair well with steak fajitas. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Aromas of black cherry and spicy saffron lead into a savory palate ripe with black raspberry, marionberry, dark chocolate, cedar, and vanilla flavors. The wine has a full mid-palate and a rich finish of maple and cherry. Pair with herbed leg of lamb, beef, and grilled vegetables.
