Wine Review: This ruby colored Merlot from the Dry Creek Valley is a very good value. It opens with a blackberry and cinnamon bouquet with hints of cedar and coconut. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty red plum and cedar blend with notes of black currant. I also detected hints of stony minerality and cinnamon. The finish is dry, and its flavors and medium tannins shows very nice length. This Merlot would pair nicely with a New York strip steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2019 No Brainer Dry Creek Valley Merlot offers beautiful aromas of ripe black currant, blackberry liqueur, black cherry, and raspberry compote. Layers of purple flowers, mocha, underbrush, and loamy soil round out the fruit forward nose. The palate showcases layered texture and finesse. The dark fruit and sweet toasty oak coat the palate with a gorgeous enduring finish.
