Wine Review: This bright ruby colored red blend opens with a fragrant red currant jam bouquet with hints of strawberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and juicy. The flavor profile is a gentle strawberry with notes of red raspberry. The finish is dry and its mild tannins are gentle and slightly prolonged. This Spanish red blend with appeal to Pinot fans and would pair nicely with grilled salmon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Like the color of this wine that resembles a dark red ruby, Nita is a rare gem from the Spanish appellation of Priorat. This wine retains all of the characteristic minerality of Priorat, while better preserving the dense fruit flavors of the old-vine Garnacha and Cariñena. With aromas of violet, ripe berries, licorice and slate, on the palate the wine is well balanced with silky, mature tannins and surprising complexity. Designed to be consumed upon release, this wine can also age for up to 5 years in bottle.
