Wine Review: This very pale straw-colored Riesling from Nik Weis opens with bee’s wax and ginger bouquet with a hint of lime and wet slate. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, bright, fresh, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is ginger and saline blend with notes of pineapple, lime, and peach. We also picked up some hints of minerality in the background. The finish is off-dry, and flavors linger and last for quite a while. The Tasting Panel would serve this Riesling with baked halibut or with a roasted garlic chicken. Enjoy – KWGTP
