Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Riesling from Nik Weis opens with bee's wax and wet stone bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and savory. The flavor profile is ginger, tart lime and gooseberry blend with notes of stony minerality and saline. We also detected a hint of green grape in the mix. The finish is off-dry and its flavors linger nicely. The Tasting Panel would serve this Riesling with grilled scallops. Enjoy – KWGTP
