Wine Review: This white gold colored Riesling opens with a mild ginger ale and pear bouquet with hints baking spices, lemon pith and honey. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, slightly sweet, and lively. The flavor profile is a gentle ginger and mineral blend with notes of ripe Bosc pear and fresh green apple. We also detected hints of tangy grapefruit and nectarine towards the end. The finish is off-dry and lingers nicely. The Panel would pair this Riesling with coconut shrimp or a soft macaroon cookie. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The St. Urbans-Hof Estate Riesling "From Old Vines" represents everything you can expect from a fine Riesling from Germany’s renowned Mosel Valley. It has the elegance and freshness that Riesling is known for plus the depth and finesse that only wines from old gnarly vines can have.
