Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Riesling from Nik Weis opens with a green apple and mild Vaseline bouquet with a hint of ginger. On the palate, this wine is rather dry, and light bodied with well-managed medium acidity. The mouthfeel is fresh and round. The flavor profile is a stony mineral influenced lime with notes of saline and white pepper. I also detected some hints of green apple skin and white peach pit. The finish is remains very dry and lingers for quite some time. This very good value Riesling would pair well with a grilled swordfish sandwich. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Crisp and racy, this 100% Riesling shows the Terroir on which it is planted. Mineral driven slate notes with white peach and green apple core with a flinty, slightly savory finish.
