Wine Review: This straw-colored Riesling opens with hundreds of micro bubbles that dissipate quickly. On the nose it features aromas of bee's wax and chamomile tea along with a hint of lemon. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, nicely balanced and round. The flavor profile is a tasty ripe white peach and ginger blend with notes of lemon and chamomile tea. The finish is off-dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Riesling is very food friendly and will be enjoyed by all. I would pair it with chicken lo-mein. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: The St. Urbans-Hof Estate Riesling "From Old Vines" represents everything you can expect from a fine Riesling from Germany's renowned Mosel Valley. The combination of old vines and the blue, highly decomposed slate rocks give this Riesling its great minerality, meaning an appealing somewhat salty finish. The nose is rather fruity and floral, while the elegant mouthfeel is dominated by fresh, mineral and fine flavors of ripe stone fruits. With a lively acidity and delicate medium sweetness, Riesling Estate Bottled from Old Vines is a perfect accompaniment for mild Asian dishes such as Thai Curries.
