Wine Review: This almost clear colored Riesling from Nik Weis opens with a mild Vasoline and saline bouquet with hints of honeysuckle and peach. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, slightly sweet and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is mild lime and saline blend with notes of chalky minerality. We also detected hints of apricot, ginger, and dried pineapple. The finish is slightly sweet and lingering. The Tasting Panel would pair this Riesling with ricotta cheesecake or chocolate mousse. Enjoy – KWGTP
