Wine Review: This bright red colored Pinot Noir from Nielson opens with a fragrant red raspberry bouquet with hints of mild oak and plum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, easy going and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty gentle red raspberry and red plum blend with nicely integrated minerality and old oak. The finish is dry and drifts away nicely. This Pinot is a bit of a quaffer. It goes down easy. I would enjoy this served cool on a hot summer day with a grilled mahi-mahi sandwich. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The nose features aromas of dark cherry, cinnamon, clove, and star anise, with subtle hints of rose petal and smoke. Tannins are rich and silky, with a bright note of smoke and dark cherry on the finish.
