Wine Review: This clear medium garnet colored Beaujolais from the Chenas commune opens with a very mild red cherry and wild strawberry bouquet with hints of violets and red plum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced and delicate. The flavor profile is gentle pomegranate and loam blend with notes of cooked red plum and cranberry. We also detected some hints of banana, stony minerality and red currant. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins linger nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Beaujolais with braised rabbit or stuffed red peppers. Enjoy – KWGTP
