Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Chardonnay opens with a lemon custard like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, nicely balanced, creamy, fresh and rich. The flavor profile is a yummy lemon custard with notes of minerality, tangerine and a dash of white pepper. The finish is dry and its flavors linger for some time after it’s gone. This Chardonnay is rather food friendly. I would pair it with grilled halibut stuffed with Imperial crab meat. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Floral and muscat aromas are inherent in this wine, giving it a beautiful bouquet. Apple, peach and lemon flavors blend with the floral attributes, bringing out a lovely layering effect. Due to the cooler vintage, more mineral components are expressed in this 2010 vintage, but the combination of layers is full and balanced. The natural acidity accentuates this medley of flavors and offers hints of mouthwatering citrus. This wine strikes a nice balance between fruit, acid and oak creating an opulent middle palate that carries the fruit into a long, persistent finish.
