Wine Review: This dark ruby Pinot Noir from the "Deep End" of the Anderson Valley is Excellent. It opens with a mild blueberry and cola bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a delicious cherry-cola and mild black raspberry blend with hints of strawberry, red plum and a touch of gentle vanilla oak. The finish is dry and its flavors linger and last for some time. This Pinot Noir is very food friendly and it would pair well Norwegian Salmon Gravlax. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The Deep End Blend is aged in our favorite French oak, 50 percent new, for sixteen months with eighty-five percent of the vintage from fruit grown up high in Garden Spot, Marking Corral and Middle Ridge; vanilla and toast with a strawberry-cherry core.
