Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Chardonnay from Navarro opens with a pineapple and lemon verbena bouquet with hints of oak and pear. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and slightly creamy. The flavor profile is a mild mineral infused pineapple and oak blend with notes of green apple. I also detected some hints of butterscotch towards the end. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Chard is food friendly and it would pair well with a Zuni Café roasted chicken and bread salad. Enjoy - Ken
