Wine Review: This very pale straw colored Sauvignon Blanc initially displays hundreds of very tiny bubbles that dissipate quickly. This wine opens with a light yellow grapefruit and a Honeydew melon bouquet with hint of lemon. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, acidic and zesty. The flavor profile is a yellow grapefruit and minerality blend. I also detect hints of white pepper, lime and a touch of nectarine pit. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity linger for quite a while. This Sauvignon Blanc does soften nicely with some air. So give it a good swirl and serve it with swordfish kabobs. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Navarro's winemaker and our tasting room staff chose to minimize the highly grassy, herbaceous style of Sauvignon Blanc and aim at a softer, fruitier style with dried mango, melon and Meyer-lemon tones and enough taut acidity to clean the palate.
