Wine Review: This pale straw colored Gewurztraminer from Navarro is very good. It opens with a fragrant lychee and apricot bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light to medium bodied, slightly acidic and flavorful. Those flavors are tasty lychee with notes of mild grapefruit and peach pit. I also detected hints of almond and Italian ricotta cookie. The finish is dry and its flavors linger and last for quite a while. This Gewurz would pair well with chicken lo-mein. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The wine in each cask rested for eight months with the yeast, contributing to a svelte mouthfeel. Warm aromas of peach, lychee, rose petal and mango tea contrast with bracing acidity from cool summer nights.
