Wine Review: This dark red Pinot Noir is very nice. It opens with a pleasant cherry and mild red currant bouquet with hints of dried flowers. (mainly lavender) On the palate, this wine is on the light to medium bodied side. It is also balanced, soft and shows nice finesse. The flavor profile is a tasty red plum and mild red cherry blend with hints of strawberry rhubarb. The finish is dry and drifts away nicely. This Pinot is on the delicate side and would pair nicely with a pork tenderloin with sage. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This wine is a cuvee selected from the best eight wines produced from our Philo-grown grapes in 2015. Navarro's Pinot Noir vines produced a modest crop in 2015, so we could only produce seventy-five percent of the normal production of this, our most complex Pinot; a special occasion wine, with aromas of Christmas spices that complement roast duck or goose.
