Wine Review: This dark red colored wine from Navarro is a very nice and interesting blend. It opens with a fragrant red raspberry and pomegranate bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced and a little juicy. The flavor profile is a gentle oak infused cherry with notes of strawberry and red plum in the background. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild tannins fade away nicely. This fun red blend is very easy to drink and enjoy. It is very food friendly and comes at a very nice price. I would pair it with meat lasagna. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: We kept the same Zin-Pinot formula for this 2014 vintage. Zinfandel, 43% of the blend, dominates with suggestions of blackberry and forest floor. Pinot, the second largest player, 23% of the blend, chimes in with red cherry flavors and gentle tannins. Smaller additions of Syrah, Grenache and Carignane add suggestions of black cherry, strawberry and herbs. Tastes great, priced great, it's gluggable, so get it while the gettin's good.
