Wine Review: This bright red colored Pinot Noir from Navarro was well received by the Tasting Panel. This wine opens with a fragrant red cherry bouquet with notes of loamy earth, strawberry and vanilla oak. On the palate, the panel thought his wine was light bodied, balanced, elegant and smooth. The flavor profile is a mild red currant with notes of ripe wild strawberries. The panel also detected a hint of cherry-cola and faint oak mixed in as well. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. The panel suggested pairing this quaffer with coq au vin or veal saltimbocca. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: In 2013, we have the advantage of better clones, rootstocks and trellises as well as more experience practicing our craft, resulting in a wine with plum, bacon and raspberry complexity.
