Wine Review: This opaque and midnight violet colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Navarro opens unique cedar and craisin bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, balanced and nicely coats your mouth. The flavor profile is mild red plum with notes of craisin and hints of cedar, mild minerality and touch of black tea towards the end. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are rather sticky, but not abrasive or get in the way. This Cab is food friendly, but needs a fatty meal to tame the tannins. I would pair it with a cowboy cut prime rib. Enjoy – Ken
