Wine Review: This light pink colored wine opens with a strawberry and wet stone like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is displays nice medium to full bodied weight. It is also crisp acidic, and pretty lively. The flavor profile is a mineral infused spicy strawberry with notes of black pepper and a hint of tangerine. The finish is dry and fades away nicely. This wine is food friendly and would pair well with Emeril’s pan fried crab cakes. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Pallini's ancient Grenache vines always produce our best lot of rose. Grapes for rose are harvested with less sugar and more acid than if harvested for red wine to fashion a wine with moderate alcohol and higher natural acidity, both of which are desirable when paired with food. This vintage was cool so the grapes yielded a delicately floral wine with crisp flavors suggesting strawberry and guava.
