Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon based wine from South Africa opens with a black currant and cigar box bouquet with hints of pine, salami, and eucalyptus. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, savory, and fresh. The flavor profile is cedar influenced red currant and black licorice blend with notes of bay leaf, cured meat stick, and tart cranberry. We also detected hints of tangy red plum and menthol.
