Wine Review: This deep ruby colored and fruit forward Cabernet Sauvignon from Murphy Goode is very good. On the nose, it has fruity blackberry and sweet cherry bouquet with hints of eucalyptus and cedar. On the palate, it is full bodied, with good structure. It displays jammy black cherry and black currant flavors with some notes of light vanilla oak. Its tight and sticky tannins linger in the dry finish. I would have a glass of this good value Cab with grilled steak tips. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon has great varietal expression from one of the best vintages in California's modern history. The Merlot offers the blend some sweet dark fruit and soft tannins while the Petit Verdot adds richness and depth. Look forward to aromas and flavors of black cherry with just a hint of black licorice. The finish will add notes of chocolate, vanilla, and just a touch of toast. Great with charbroiled burgers or your favorite steak fresh off the grill.
