Wine Review: This ruby colored value Cabernet opens with a fragrant red raspberry bouquet with hints of oak and cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, juicy and very fruity. The flavor profile is plum with notes of old oak and black currant. I also detected a touch cherry. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are rather sticky and linger for quite some time. I would pair this fruit bomb Cab with a juicy barbecue bacon burger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon is a wonderful expression of the many appellations from which it is derived. Aromas and flavors of blackberry and cherry with hints of thyme are expressed. Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc were folded into the blend to give a rich mouthfeel, added depth and complexity. OUR FAVORITE FOOD COMBOS: Barbecued meats and roasted vegetables are a natural.
