Wine Review: This ruby colored Zinfandel opens with a mild black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, matured and smooth. The flavor profile is a black cherry and mild red currant blend with a hint of pomegranate. The finish is quite dry and its moderate tannins are sticky and linger for some time. This wine would pair very well with a think cut of prime rib. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The "Snake Eyes" designation is awarded to our best Zinfandel vineyards of the vintage. The 2006 Snake Eyes shows red and dark fruits, toasty oak and spice with a round, generous structure. This wine should be cellared for twelve to sixteen months, and under proper storage conditions will continue to develop for four to six years. This is a big wine that doesn’t back down to big flavors. Serve with slow-roasted baby back ribs or blackened fish.
