Wine Review: This dark red Rioja opens with an inviting, earthy, musty black raspberry and black pepper bouquet. I also noted hints of vanilla and oak. The light to medium bodied palate is smooth, juicy and slightly dry. The flavor profile features blackberry and plum flavors with herbal notes. I enjoyed the integrated and balanced tannins. This Tempranillo is easy going and food friendly with a pleasant dry finish that fades away nicely. I would pair this Spanish red with an Antonio's fresh mozzarella tomato basil pizza. – Joe
Winemaker Notes: This wine has a bright cherry color, is fresh and clean and well-integrated. Shows intense red fruit aromas combined with subtle notes from the aging including vanilla, coconut, balsamic notes and licorice. The palate is fresh, full and vibrant with a very savory and pleasant, lingering finish. Very good with Spanish "tapas" and tomato based pizzas.
