Wine Review: Nice easy drinking everyday Rioja. Up front, a bright red color with aromas of saddle leather, red currant, chocolate cherry cordials and violets. On the palate it's soft, medium bodied, moderately acidic, dry, and balanced. The flavors are a blend of black cherry, blackberry, and leather, with hints of cassis, cedar and celery. There are light tannins in the dry finish with a slight bitter note, and moderate length. This is a food friendly and versatile wine which went very well with coal fired sausage pizza. – Mark
Winemaker Notes: The 2018 Fincas de la Villa Crianza is cherry red in color, clean and bright. Ripe red fruit aromas combine with notes of vanilla, cocoa, coffee, and licorice. The palate is broad and notably fresh, with soft tannins leading to a tasty finish. This Crianza is enjoyable on its own at room temperature, or as the perfect accompaniment to cured sausage and Spanish cheeses.
