Wine Review: Toasted sesame seed, cigar box and black cherry aromas emerge from the glass on this deep ruby colored Tempranillo from Rioja. On the palate, the wine is light to medium-bodied with black cherry cola, raspberry and vanilla flavors. Bold tannins, bright acidity, well-integrated oak and graphite minerality add structure and complexity. The finish is moderate with more raspberry and vanilla on the exit. This is a versatile wine that could pair with anything from grilled octopus to a sandwich of Iberico ham, manchego cheese and a thick slice of tomato. – Jeoff
Winemaker Notes: A bright cherry color. Very fine ageing aromas (vanilla, coconut, roasted coffee), with notes of ripe red berries and licorice. The palate is wide, fruity and elegant, with a clean and pleasant aftertaste. It matches well with tapas and cold meats.
