Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from New Zealand opens with a pomegranate, plum and craisin bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slight acidic and savory. The flavor profile is a tart red plum with notes of tangy cranberry, spice and pomegranate. I also detected hints of black pepper and touch of old oak. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely. I would pair this Pinot with a whiskey glazed flat iron steak with grilled potatoes. Enjoy - Ken
