Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored red blend from South Africa opens with a mild oak and black cherry bouquet with a hint of black currant. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, well balanced, and quite approachable. The flavor profile is a pleasant mild red currant and craisin blend with classic South African gently integrated oak. The finish is dry and its sticky tannins are quite prolonged. This wine is very food friendly and would pair well with seasoned pork tenderloin. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This supple Bordeaux blend was created by the legendary Mike Dobrovic as a tribute to Boes ("Bushy" in Afrikaans), the loyal dog who kept watch over Mulderbosch farm for nearly three years after his owner's death, waiting beneath an oak tree for the return of his beloved master. Enticing aromas of blackcurrant, mulberry, coffee, and spice lead to intense flavors of ripe plum, blackberry, and licorice enhanced by signature Bordeaux notes of tobacco, forest floor and graphite.
