Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from the Central Otago region in New Zealand opens with a black raspberry bouquet with a hint of black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth and very approachable. The flavor profile is a spiced black plum, clove, and crushed stone minerality blend with notes of black cherry. I also detected a hint of craisin in the aftertaste. The finish is dry, and its mild refined dusty tannins linger nicely. This Pinot would pair well with veal saltimbocca "restaurant style." Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Bright crimson in color, A classic Central Otago nose from a cooler year. Delicate violet florals and warm baking spices mix into an inviting aroma. A cascade of blue and black fruit with warm earthy and gentle spices with a long finish.
