Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Merlot from Mt. Brave opens with a mild blueberry and black cherry bouquet with hints of cedar. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, fruit forward and lush. The flavor profile is a mineral influenced black cherry and black raspberry blend with notes of oak. We also detected some hints of coffee and milk chocolate mixed in. The finish is dry and its rather chalky tannins stick around for quite a long time. The Panel suggested decanting this Merlot before serving it with a well-marbled ribeye. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Flavors of blue fruits and mocha abounds with a rounding texture lift this wine on your palate. The long, steady finish exhibits why mountain Merlot stands alone.
