Wine Review: This opaque and very dark ruby colored Merlot from Mt. Veeder is a big boy! It opens with fragrant black raspberry bouquet with hints of cherry-cola. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, rich and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a very tasty concentrated black cherry and dark chocolate blend with hints of blueberry, vanilla oak, and coffee. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate tannins stick around for quite some time. This Merlot is big enough for a ribeye at your favorite steakhouse. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our 2012 Mt. Brave Merlot has ripe boysenberry aromas and flavors layered with notes of Asian spice. This wine is rich in fruit and balanced by structure, minerality and acidity for a mouthwatering finish.
