Wine Review: This opaque and very dark ruby colored Merlot is very young. It opens with a very fragrant boysenberry and black cherry bouquet with notes of oak and forest floor. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, rich and yet a bit over the top. The flavor profile is blueberry and oak with a streak of minerality and plum. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins are pronounced. The panel thinks this Merlot is a sleeper and will continue to evolve and emerge. They suggested pairing this with roast duck breast or braised lamb shank after decanting it. Enjoy - KWGTP
