Wine Review: This deep purple colored Petit Verdot opens with a blueberry, blackberry, and violet bouquet with a hint of anise and slight prune. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, soft, and fresh. The flavor profile is a gentle stewed black plum and crush stone minerality with notes of blackberry, red cherry hard candy, and light oolong tea. We also detected hints of cedar and red grapes. The finish is dry and its well-manage round tannins build-up an linger for quite some time. We would pair this Petit Verdot with a grilled hanger steak or steak fajitas. Enjoy – Ken & Mark
