Wine Review: This dark garnet colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Morisoli opens with a mild cassis and old leather bouquet with hints of black licorice, black cherry and cardamon. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, very smooth and seamless. The flavor profile is gentle cassis and graphite blend with notes of cedar and black cherry. We also detected hints of oolong tea, clove, and a touch of lingering black licorice. The finish is dry and its flavors, acidity, and its very dusty tannins are nicely sustained for a while. The Tasting Panel would decant this Cab in the near term before pairing it with a New York strip steak or with braised oxtail. Enjoy - KWGTP
