Wine Review: This pale gold colored Albarino from Morgadio is very nice. It opens with a very fragrant and attractive ripe honeydew melon and ruby grapefruit bouquet with a hint of lemon zest. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is juicy and a little viscous. Yet it is also bright from its mouthwatering acidity. The flavor profile is a lemon-lime and stony minerality blend with notes of green apple, ripe ruby grapefruit, and saline. I also detected some hints of ginger and nectarine towards the end. The finish is refreshing, and its flavors linger and last for quite a while. I would pair this very good Albarino with a pan-seared Chilean sea bass with lemon caper butter sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Intense and elegant with tropical fruit and kiwi complementing granitic minerality. Made from free-run juice, a well-structured, dry Albariño with a long finish.
