Wine Review: This opaque and almost black colored wine opens with a very fragrant ripe mulberry bouquet with hints of blackberry and black licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well balanced, smooth, and satiny. The flavor profile is a very tasty ripe black currant with notes of cherry vanilla and black licorice. You will also find some hints of black pepper and spices mixed in as well. This is a pretty complex Carmenere. The finish is very dry and its dusty moderate tannins stick around for quite a while. This is a very nice wine and it will pair well with a grilled New York strip steak. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep and live ruby red color. The wine has a very elegant and evident Carmenere tipicity, showing lovely black pepper aromas with hints of red berries, chocolate, a bit of vanilla and black plums. In the mouth is distinctively smooth, with rounded and soft tannins. Long finish. The oak is beautifully integrated and balanced. The grapes come from our Arcangel Estate located at the very west of Colchagua Valley.
