Wine Review: This translucent and dark red colored Tuscan blend opens with a black cherry and red currant bouquet with a hint of strawberry licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel round and a bit astringent. The flavor profile is a cedar, mild red currant and tobacco blend with notes of flinty minerality and English breakfast tea. I also picked up some rich dark chocolate in the aftertaste. The finish is very dry and its moderate dusty tannins build-up and stick around for a very long time. I would decant this wine for a while before serving it with your favorite steak burrito or with steak fajitas. Enjoy - Ken
