Wine Review: Mont Marcal has always been a strong contender, and this year’s Cava Rosado is no wimp. The ruby-like darker hue, shines in the glass. At first glance you think you are going to get whopped with flavors, but in the Mont Marcal fashion the flavors are well tamed. From the nose to palate flavors of candied tangerine and ginger are present. These flavors coexist with notes of nutmeg, cherries, and hints of acai. The medium bubbles help tame and spread the flavors throughout your palate. It closes with a medium finish that you wished went on a bit longer. - Nicolay
Winemaker Notes: 100% Trepat, a Catalan black variety especially apt for rose production. Attractive light ruby color with pronounced red berry fruit and excellent mousse.
